Diagnostics

Diagnostics

The basis of any therapy starts with a correct diagnosis. A symptom can be due to a wide range of pathological conditions as multiple pathological conditions can coexist within the same individual. To date, sophisticated and effective diagnostic tests are available to identify the pathological condition underlying the patient’s symptom, this will involve a treatment of the underlying disease and not a mere symptomatic treatment.

    DIAGNOSTICS

    Urinary tract ultrasound

Anatomical study of kidneys, ureters, bladder. Evaluation of the vascularization of the structures, of the presence of stones, lesions and calculation of the post-voiding residue.

    DIAGNOSTICS

Basal or Dynamic Penile Ecocolor Doppler

Study of the anatomy of the penis with the search for penile plaques. The dynamic Doppler makes use of the injection of a vasoactive substance which, by stimulating the blood flow, allows the study of the vascularisation of the penis with the detection of any vascular causes in erectile dysfunction.
    DIAGNOSTICS

    Uretrocistoscopia flessibile

Study of the urethra and bladder using a flexible mini-invasive camera in the diagnosis of bladder stones, urethral strictures, tumors or causes of infections.

    DIAGNOSTICS

    Uroflowmetry

Study of urine flow in order to evaluate the presence of urinary obstruction due to benign prostatic hypertrophy or urethral strictures. Subsequent evaluation of post-voiding residue.

    DIAGNOSTICS

    Urinary tumor markers

Innovative use of SelectMDX, urine test for prostate cancer research.

    Urological pathologies

These conditions can be caused by infections, urinary flow problems, kidney stones, tumors, and other factors. Timely diagnosis and treatment of urological conditions are important for the patient’s overall health and well-being.

    Urinary infections

Any infection of the urinary system (kidneys, ureter, bladder, urethra, external genitalia).

    Incontinence

Urine loss associated with urgency or effort, in "urgency" or "exertion", sometimes mixed.

    Prostatitis

It manifests with symptoms similar to those of cystitis and pelvic pain, sometimes associated with fever.

    BPH

It is a rather common pathology and affects people over the age of 40-50.

    Prostate cancer

The risk that the disease will have an unfortunate outcome is low, especially if you intervene in time.

    Penile cancer

Disease characterized by the presence of cancer cells on the skin or in the internal tissues of the penis.

    Testicular cancer

It usually manifests as a hard lump or bump on the testicle.

    Bladder cancer

Common between the ages of 60 and 70, and is three times more common in men than in women.

    Andrological pathologies

These conditions can include sexual dysfunction, infertility, erection problems, prostate cancer, and other conditions. Early diagnosis and treatment of andrological pathologies are important to ensure the health and well-being of the patient.

    Erectile dysfunction

It is the recurrent and persistent inability to have an erection to permit sexual intercourse.

    Curved penis

The progression of the disease can lead to erectile dysfunction and the impossibility of intercourse.

    Phimosis / short frenulum

The presence of phimosis or short frenulum generates discomfort during erections and sexual intercourse.

    Hypospadias

Malformation in which the urinary orifice does not open at the normal top of the penis but at a lower point.

    Sexual diseases

They are a real social emergency as they are constantly spreading and often difficult to manage.

    Premature ejaculation

It is a very common disorder, so much so that 1 in 4 men suffer from it. Treatment is based on the use of oral and local therapy.

    Infertility

About 35% of infertility cases have a male cause, including environmental conditions and an unhealthy lifestyle.

    Hypogonadism

Low testosterone level can be the cause of secondary conditions. The diagnosis is based on a blood test.
